  1. Regional Art Contest of The Internationale

Just made this, hoping to make a digital version at some point, and debating whether to put a swastika behind the pig
  2. Leftist music discussion thread

I rather enjoy German Communist songs from the 1930s. Especially those produced by a Brecht and Eisler combined effort, although there is variation in my interests. See below: And, of course, we can't forget the original:
  3. Political Compass of The Internationale

Using the new compass, I took the test twice and got the results seen below. Seems that when it comes to anarchism vs statism I'm right in the middle. Fun note: the one where I lean more towards anarchism was taken at 4:20 PM
  4. NS RMB Post Suppression - Vote Proposal Thread

Now, comrades, I don't want to embroil myself in this too much, but I would like to have my say in this particular matter: seeing as the new members aren't really understanding how they are to conduct themselves on the RMB, it may do us good to put a little more about those particular rules in the welcome telegramme. I can't quite remember what exactly was on it when I moved into this region, as I didn't have the foresight to save it, so if we already have the RMB rules in there you have my apologies; however, it may be prudent at least to make those rules a little more visible to newcomers as long as we determine that they aren't simply overlooking obvious statements.
  5. [US] People's Congress of Resistance

I've been eyeing this ever since you posted the livestream on the Discord chat, and am pretty sure I'm going to be able to make it. See you there!!
  6. Comrade in every language

Chichewa: mzanga Esperanto: kamarado Hmong: thooj tsib Irish: comrádaí Latin: socius Lao: ອະນຸຄາມີ Maltese: kumpann Nepali: विश्वासी साथी Yoruba: çnikejìolùkùçlêgbê I couldn't find translations for Sesotho or Malagasy yet, so this isn't quite comprehensive.
  7. Comrade in every language

Some of those I don't think are correct, especially the ones that are simply listed as "comrade." For instance, if one peruses an online Hmong dictionary they will find the word for comrade in that language is "thooj tsib" (which makes much more sense, as it is phonetically similar to "tōngzhǐ" in Mandarin). Upon searching a Yoruba language dictionary, the word for comrade is "çnikejìolùkùçlêgbê," in Nepali it is "विश्वासी साथी", etc.
  8. Comrade in every language

@Freien In Chinese it's 同志 tóngzhì
  9. The Internationale and CAIN

The only CAIN operation that I can remember was the Femdom Empire catastrophe, and we all remember just how well that went. CAIN has been nothing but a hindrance to the work of the Left on NationStates and the work of The Internationale, and I believe that it's high time for us to rid ourselves of the burden that is being a member of that organization.
  10. Political Compass of The Internationale

Economic Left/Right: -7.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26 For those of you who doubt that anyone can get into the authoritarian quadrant, you'd be surprised--I've seen a thing or two in previous regions. One time an acquaintance posted their result on Discord that showed them being even more authoriarian and to the right than Hitler. 'Twas rather terrifying.
  11. LBC: Political Poetry

This is one of my own creation. Gold coins drop and fall, sinking fast into oil. The people awake. A man reaches in with delicate, polished hands, but he, then, is pushed. Screams echo around the tiny, bubbling vat. Red merges with black. The people look once, and move on, for Greed has tasted his own medicine, and he will not return.
  12. Marxists.org is always a good reference. They have tons of works by communist leaders under Mao, and even Mao himself. https://www.marxists.org/archive/#maoism A couple of other links from various universities and firsthand sources, though I'm not sure of how useful they will prove. http://www.chaos.umd.edu/history/prc2.html http://www.rrojasdatabank.info/16points.htm This one's in Chinese, which I can translate for you, about Mao's death http://news.sina.com.cn/c/144508.html https://books.google.com/books?id=iRr8GOrCLgkC&pg=PA166#v=onepage&q&f=false This one gives different estimates of the deaths that occurred (which vary quite widely) http://necrometrics.com/20c5m.htm#Mao That's as much as I have for now, hope this helps.
  13. Honestly, I'm not tired of it. Though, I suppose I'm an exception--my political energy largely feeds off these kinds of massive events, whether within my country or without.
  14. Is China even communist?

China is not communist, not by any standard but their own. It is also highly disappointing that the PRC, which is (at least in my view) an authoritarian capitalist nation, is considered (along with the DPRK) as basically the "benchmark" of world communism.

Hello everyone! It's good to finally be here.
